Cookie Policy

What this website loads in your browser, and the choices you have about it.

Last updated: 17 September 2026. This page describes exactly what this website currently loads — it hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and we’d recommend having it checked before the site goes live.

What’s a cookie?

A cookie is a small file a website can ask your browser to store, usually to remember who you are or what you did on a previous visit. Some third-party services also use similar techniques, or simply see your IP address when your browser requests something from their servers, even without setting a cookie.

The short version

This website doesn’t run analytics, advertising, or any tracking of its own, and sets no cookies by default. Two third-party services are used, and both are described below: one loads automatically on every page (Google Fonts), and one only loads if you actively click a button for it (Google Maps, on the Contact page).

Google Fonts

This site uses the Poppins typeface, loaded from Google’s font service (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) on every page. That doesn’t set a cookie, but it does mean your browser contacts Google’s servers to fetch the font files, which exposes your IP address to Google in the process. If this site is moved onto a permanent host, hosting these font files ourselves instead is the cleaner alternative — happy to make that change once there's a live domain to test it on.

Google Maps — loads only on click

The map on our Contact page is not loaded automatically. You’ll see a placeholder with a “Load map” button instead; nothing is requested from Google until you click it. Once you do, Google Maps loads in the usual way and may set its own cookies, governed by Google’s own cookie policy — we have no control over those. If you’d rather not load it at all, the page also links straight to Google Maps in a new tab, and our address is listed as plain text on the same page.

The contact form

Submitting the contact form sends your message directly to Formspree, our form-processing provider, without setting any cookie from our own code. See our privacy policy for what happens to that data afterwards.

Controlling cookies

You can block, delete or be warned about cookies through your browser’s settings at any time — how to do that depends on which browser you use. Since the only cookies this site can trigger come from Google Maps, and only after you click to load it, simply not clicking that button keeps this site cookie-free for your visit.

You saw a short cookie notice the first time you visited this site. To see it again — for example to change what you chose — use the button below.
